Happy belated Canadian Thanksgiving. I hope you all had a nice long weekend with good food, great company, and an outfit that earned a compliment at Friendsgiving.
It’s been a week since I got back from London (England, not Ontario). It was my first time, and it exceeded my expectations. It was bigger and louder in all aspects - from the size of the city (absolutely cannot walk it in a day), the number of restaurants packed together, and, of course, the fashion. It’s not that styles were so different from home; it’s that everyone cared. More on this later.
If you’re new here, welcome! I’ve been writing these letters for about a month now. If you have feedback or ideas for what you’d like to see, just hit reply. I read every one.

A lot of my clients have been asking me for help with pants. It’s notoriously difficult to find pants that are equally comfortable, stylish, and not sweatpants. You are not alone. And maybe you’ve heard of the cult favourite Lululemon ABC pants. But have you heard of Du/er, a Canadian brand known for its comfortable “dress pants”? I made a comparison video a while back that still stands true. Neither is perfect, but both are good. I recommend having a tailor on hand who can hem length and take in/out waists (most dry cleaners can do this).
More about London fashion. Like I said, the guys (and girls) there aren’t doing anything groundbreaking, and the styles aren’t all that different from here. Their biggest flex is that they care. You could tell the guys didn’t just “throw something on”. Outfits were intentional. It’s not our fault, though. There are so many more men's clothing stores in Europe. Like, SO many more. A few that stood out were Represent, Sirplus, and Balibaris.
The bubble vest is not just for finance bros. It’s a great transition jacket for this in-between weather, when it’s too cold for a t-shirt but too early to commit to a winter coat. The bubble vest is also great for adding length to your frame (read: makes you look taller) and is great for layering. I’d recommend wearing it over a button-down over a sweater. And if you really want to stay away from finance bro, choose not black.
Happy almost start to the NBA regular season to those who celebrate. Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, OKC Thunder point guard, proud Canadian, NBA champion, MVP, etc., launched a collab with Canada Goose, which includes outerwear, pants, and… bubble vests.
Indulge 🤑

It’s officially jacket season, and if I haven’t said it already, a nice peacoat should be a staple in your closet. You can find very nice, reasonably priced peacoats at most men’s stores right now, but this Reigning Champ one is in the Indulge section for a reason. On the pricier side for sure, and slightly trendy (as in, may not stand the test of time). But for now, I’m obsessed with the camel colour, boxy fit, and oversized shoulders.
On My Radar 👀

As Paris wrapped up another fashion week last week, here’s another ready-to-wear menswear brand on my radar. Kartik Research was founded by Indian designer Kartik Kumra. He made his runway debut earlier this year after opening the brand’s first international store in NYC. His designs have been spotted on celebrities like Lewis Hamilton and Kendrick Lamar. Designs are rooted in Kumra’s travels across India, with lots of floral and mismatched prints. But I love the basics with accents, like the leather jacket with purple collar in photo one. The Spring 2026 line isn’t available yet, but of its current collection, I’m loving this jacket and this pullover.

Ask Me Anything 🙋🏻♀️

“Should I tuck in my shirt or leave it out?”
This is one of the most common style questions I get (and style mistakes I see). A shirt that should be tucked in, or a stiff shirt that should be untucked, or a shirt that’s just the wrong size.
A good rule of thumb? When you’re standing up straight, the bottom hem of your shirt should land roughly at the midpoint of your pant zipper. Any shorter, and it looks like you shrunk it in the wash. Any longer, and it starts to look oversized.
My advice is to tuck in your shirt most of the time. A clean tuck gives you shape and purpose. And that’s the goal, right?
