Worth A Look 👀

As usual, Pharrell put on a show at Paris Men’s Fashion Week using a huge tidal wave as the backdrop to showcase Louis Vuitton’s Spring/Summer 2027 collection. The brand said the new collection represents the surfer meets dandy (someone or something that is exceptional and refined). I noticed loose trousers, embellished leather coats, collared shirts buttoned all the way up, and no loud branding.
Milan also hosted its Men’s Fashion Week in June. Between Paris and Milan, all the major brands debuted Spring/Summer 2027 collections. My brief takeaways are that brooches and man bags are here to stay, that no brand is too big for a collab, your pinstriped suit won’t ever go out of style, and just because Prada wants to bring back skinny jeans doesn’t mean you should.
Summer has many of us dreaming of European yacht vacations. Which explains why so many of my clients are asking for the European old-money look. For first-timers, there’s a formula for looking like this. Start with white pleated trousers. Not off-white, not chinos. These are good. Pick up nude suede loafers, like this. Then layer lots of linen. For colours, stick to pastels and navy. And always tuck in your shirt.
I’m not a soccer fan, but even I’ve jumped on the World Cup bandwagon. No one will judge you if you're wearing your team’s jersey all summer. Styling a jersey is similar to styling any top - with intention. Wear it over loose trousers, tuck it into jeans with a belt, or style it with those white trousers you just got for your old-money look.

We’re in the middle of summer and the middle of t-shirt and shorts season. I’m running back this video about shorts lengths I posted last year. TLDR: not all shorts are created equal. The most common inseams found in stores are 9”, but this doesn’t work for everyone. Your shorts should sit about 2” above your knee for the cleanest look.
Speaking of t-shirts and shorts, your t-shirt length matters too. Especially for those of you who don’t like tucking in your shirt, remember that the bottom hem of your shirt should sit near the middle of your pant zipper. I learned recently that True Classic has shirts in short, regular, and tall lengths. This feels like a game-changer.
While we’re on the topic, other ways you can style your t-shirts and shorts include: choosing crewneck over v-neck t-shirts, monochrome colour palettes, adding a simple necklace, swapping a simple cotton t-shirt with knitted fabric or linen button-down, and (my favourite) layering with a light cardigan. Save this video.
If you want a simple wardrobe that you don’t have to overthink, remember the three colour rule: one colour to go monochrome, two to match, but three colours max.
Indulge 🤑

Montreal menswear brand Jack Victor is Suit Supply meets Todd Snyder. Known for its tailored suits and Italian wool and silk fabrics, the brand only recently started offering a ready-to-wear collection of shirts, sweaters, and outerwear. The brand has been family-owned since it began in 1913, and today, all tailored clothing is manufactured in their own factory in Montreal. Priced at almost $1,400, this suit is not cheap, but the double-breasted cut and chocolate brown colour are on trend, and just dark enough not to go out of style. I'd pair this with a baby blue or butter yellow dress shirt.
