It’s so strange working in fashion because, even though we’re in the middle of summer, I’m already thinking about fall. Fall collections will start arriving in stores by mid-August, but until then, let’s talk about the brand collabs that launched in July, tips for dressing in this summer heat, and so many good seasonal sales.

Worth A Look 👀
Congratulations to Spain’s national soccer team for winning the World Cup! And inking a four-year deal with luxury brand Loewe to provide the men’s and women’s teams with outfits for all travel between 2026 and 2030. This summer’s men’s collection featured tailored suits, polo shirts, jackets, trousers, and the brand’s popular XL Amazona 180 bag.
Drake's OVO dropped its second golf collection in early July. The collaboration with Callaway and Vessel gives it credibility, while the pieces are polished enough to wear beyond the clubhouse. It's part performance golf, part streetwear. I’m into it. I especially like this sweater vest and the monogram bag (which is sadly sold out).
I’m watching The Godfather for the first time and just finished Part II. Several times, I caught myself thinking, 'great outfit'. Like so many fashion trends, the '70s mob boss aesthetic is back: with all the layering, pinstripes, and neck scarves. Now if we could only normalize dressing up for every occasion. The Corleones wore three-piece suits to business meetings, family dinners, and even the occasional hit.
I could write a whole newsletter about athletes in fashion. While watching the ESPYs in July, I was disappointed to learn that Best Dressed isn't actually an award. So I browsed the red carpet looks instead and was happy to learn that not everyone showed up in the same black suit and tie. Jonathan Owens and Kevin Hart wore non-traditional suits with brooches (which are becoming mainstream). Jack Hughes looked sharp in a perfectly tailored three-piece pinstripe suit. Jalen Brunson kept it classic in a double-breasted jacket. And Jayson Tatum went full Jayson Tatum in a tank top. Comes off super casual, and I'm kind of into it.
I may have found a hack for every guy who's told me they run hot and struggle to stay comfortable in summer. MNTD makes a "Don't Sweat It" undershirt with built-in underarm sweat protection that absorbs and blocks sweat. I don't know anyone who's tried it yet, though. If you have, let me know if it actually works.
And if you don’t have a MNTD shirt and need more ideas to get through the summer heat, here are a few pieces to add to your rotation: long-sleeve linen button-down shirt, short-sleeve button-down shirt, matching shirt and shorts set, sweater polo, loose-fitting linen blend pants, and of course, good quality t-shirts.
If you’re doing some summer purging and clearing out your closet, here are five pieces to buy when you’re starting over: 1) white dress sneakers with some detail, 2) black or navy bomber jacket, 3) straight-leg dark blue denim, 4) navy blazer, and 5) sweater t-shirts.
Pro tip: If you're wearing a button-down shirt open or partially unbuttoned, make sure the undershirt is a tank top, not a t-shirt. The lower collar makes a big difference.

Amiri isn't usually my vibe, with its loud branding and flashy monogram. But I was intrigued by its latest runway show for spring/summer 2027. The brand is rock 'n' roll meets streetwear, and known for its distressed denim. When browsing for pieces to feature, I headed straight for the outerwear (my favourite). I love this blue jacket with the gold detailing and subtle monogram. And surprisingly, I also really like their new Ryder boots. As we head into fall, they're a great alternative to the Chelsea boot and would look good paired with a leather jacket.
